Cardiac Rehabilitation
The ultimate goal of Cardiac Rehab is to help reduce your risk of future cardiac events and to improve your health. Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program is a medically-supervised, two-phase program for individuals with heart disease.
Phase I begins in the hospital after a heart attack, heart surgery or other cardiac admission. This phase includes risk factor education, mobilization, home exercise instruction from the cardiac rehab team, and nutritional information from a registered dietitian. Phase II is our outpatient, medically-supervised program. Through education and monitored exercise, individuals can safely resume their daily activities at work or at home, and can feel better while doing so. Each participant's program is unique and individually planned, including input from his/her physician, nurses, wellness specialists and you, the patient.
